Christmas/New Year season's over and i'm rather glad it is. Well, simply because Christmas/New Year is just another excuse for the "happening" pple in Singapore to party, party and party. Start of exams, end of exams, start of school... any reason to party, just whack. Heck, i won't be surprised if MOS has a big banner at its entrance tmrw nite (yes, a Monday night) that reads "Happy January 8th!!!".

Anwyay, with increased parties, come increased idiots on the roads. Which explains the random road blocks/checks just outside katong shopping centre. I'm reaaally interested what's their criteria to stop a car randomly... simply because i got stopped two outta two times. I mean... i don't exactly have a drunk face going on for me. Err.. at least i dun think so. I guess they'll just about stop anyone who looks young enough to be an irresponsible drunk driver. And somehow i fall into that category. Pui. So the standard procedure goes something like:
1. I spot road block
2. Widen my eyes to look more alert, cut the smile so as not to look like crazy drunk (not that i smile to myself alone in my car... erm.. regularly) and to avoid being stopped -> precious seconds for me to rush home to watch soccer.
3. Still get stopped. Pui.
4. "Sir, where did you just come from?"
5. Facing the road which leads to town, i reply "Takashimaya"
Or I wish i did.
"Siglap"
6. Police officer puts face close enuff to mine, probably to check for hints of alcohol, and asks " Do you have any alcoholic drinks with you?"
7. "Yup, i have a trunk load full of 'em. Had, sorry. Just remembered i finished 2 bottles a while ago. *hic*"
But of course that was jsut in my head.
"NO"
8. And off i go.

Not too bad, from having my ID checked going into an NC-16 movie, to being stopped for suspicion of drunk driving. I must look older now! Maybe can pass off as a 18 year old now... wat an improvement.
